The International Economic Association (http://www.iea-world.com/ <http://www.iea-world.com/>) is the association of 58 national economic associations such as the American Economic Association, the Royal Economic Society, the Ordem dos Economistas and so on.

Economists such as Paul Samuelson, Kenneth Arrow, Amartya Sen, Robert Solow served as Presidents in the past. The current President is Masahiko Aoki (
StanfordUniversity/ Japan) and the President-Elect is Joseph Stiglitz (Columbia University/USA).

The Congress will be devoted to invited lectures and sessions, as well as parallel sessions of contributed papers.

Submissions of contributed papers are welcome in all areas of economics, including areas of particular interest to countries throughout the region.

Proposals for papers are to be submitted by the end of February 2011 through www.IEA-Congress-2011.org. A few pages summary proposals may be considered, although full papers are preferred. Final decision for acceptance/rejection will be notified by April 15, 2011.Full papers for presentation are to be sent by June 15.
